Mildred Flynn

Mildred Flynn, a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, died Sunday, July 13 in Portland. She was 93.
Mrs. Flynn was born April 20, 1915 in Eugene and attended school in Portland, where she lived for the rest of her life. She married Bernard Flynn and celebrated 70 years of marriage with him before he died in 2003. He ran his own water company and Mrs. Flynn, who worked as a homemaker, helped him out in a variety of ways. An expert seamstress, she made clothes for the family and sewed costumes for the St. Mary’s Academy drama department.
Survivors include sons Tom Flynn and Dan Flynn; daughters Sister Joan Flynn, SNJN, Frankie Martin, Barbara Sheridan, Anita Hoyt, Donna McCormick, Joy Basaraba and Julie McLeod; 30 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
A Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial were held at Our Lady of Sorrows. Remembrances may be made to a charitable organization.
