Marianne Jean (Roberti) Gustafson, a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in Southwest Portland, died Thursday, April 24 in Vancouver. She was 72 years old.
Mrs. Gustafson was born May 7, 1935 in Portland and graduated from Lincoln High School and Marylhurst University with a degree in medical technology. In 1959 she married Robert Gustafson, who died in 2005. The couple moved to Vancouver, Wash., in 1969 where Mrs. Gustafson led Girl Scouts and Camp Fire groups, was a master gardener and served as executive administrator for the Washington State University Gardener Association of Clark County. For a living, she worked as an office manager for Shields Heath Care.
Survivors include children James Gustafson and Kristen Gustafson; sister Connie Flabetich and grandson Nolan Gustafson.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, April 29 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary. Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
