Robert Levy, a member of Ascension Catholic Church in southeast Portland, died Sunday, May 4 in Portland following a lengthy illness. He was 73.
Mr. Levy was born Nov. 15, 1934 and attended the University of Houston and served in the Army. He married Annette Smith in 1985.
Prior to moving to Portland in 1997, Mr. Levy lived and worked in Tulsa, Okla., Sacramento, Calif., and Houston, Texas, where he worked as director of broadcast operations at K.H.O.U., a local television station owned by A.H. Belo Corp. He also sat on the board of directors of the American Heart Association.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Smith-Levy, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held Thursday, May 8 at the Holman’s Funeral Service home, followed by a rosary. Remembrances may be made to Ascension’s rebuilding fund.
