William A. Boaz, a member of St. Ignatius Parish in Southeast Portland, died Monday, April 19. He was 83.
Mr. Boaz was born Jan. 14, 1925 in Aberdeen, SD., and attended St. Mary’s School there. He joined the US Navy and served during World War II. Following the war, he came to Mill City and then to Portland and worked for Electronics Specialty from 1948 to 1968. He then worked for Leupold Stevens until his retirement in 1974. Four years later, he married Margaret Jensik.
Mr. Boaz enjoyed bowling, golfing and fishing and belonged to the Eagles Lodge FOE 3256.Survivors include wife Margaret Boaz and brother Robert Boaz. A funeral Mass was held Tuesday at St. Ignatius. Remembrances may be made to St. Ignatius or the Eagles Lodge FOE 3256.
