Henry Garcia, a member of St. Clare Parish in southwest Portland, died Tuesday, April 15 in Portland. He was 72.
Mr. Garcia was born June 3, 1935 in Albany and in 1959 married Barbara Shinn, who died in 2005.
He graduated from Cleveland High School and Lewis and Clark College. A skiing and college football enthusiast, Mr. Garcia worked for more than 30 years with the Bonneville Power Administration and held a small business specialist job title.
Survivors include brother Edward Garcia; sister Esmerita Ramos; son Steven Garcia and daughters Jennifer Schesnack, Lisa Garcia and Kathryn Lovick.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place at St. Clare, followed by committal at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to St. Clare.
