Arthur Joseph Michael Kelly, a longtime member of St. Charles Parish in Northeast Portland, died Thursday, April 3 in Portland. He was 78.
Kelly was born Oct. 18, 1929 in LaMoure, N.D., and worked as a traffic manager for Ford Motor Co. He lived in Portland from 1943 until 1955, when he moved to California and lived in San Francisco and San Jose until retiring in 1983. He then moved back to Portland. Kelly had served in the Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors include son A.J. Kelly; sisters Nelly Kelly and Pat Adlhoch; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A funeral Mass was held at St. Charles. Remembrances may be made to the parish.
