Skills for keeping life commitments assessed

SALEM — Every vocation response — married, single, ordained, religious life — calls for faith, self-knowledge, healthy living skills, and commitment. That’s one of the messages that will emerge during a Life Choices Coffee Shop set for 6:15 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Queen of Peace Parish here, 4227 Lone Oak Road, SE.

Father Ray Carey, an Oregon psychologist who speaks across the country, will guide the session, called “Skills for Making and Keeping Your Life Choice Commitment.” Young adults are particularly encouraged to attend.

Those who come can enjoy a cup of coffee and conversation with individuals committed to one of the four vocational choices.

The Archdiocese of Portland Office of Vocations and the Serra Club of Salem are sponsoring the coffeehouse. For more information, call St. Mary Sister Charlene Herinckx at (503) 906-1131 or Father Kelly Vandehey at (503) 233-8368
