To the Sentinel:
We wish to congratulate Archbishop John Vlazny on 10 years of faithful service to the Archdiocese of Portland.
And, as is typical of his humble approach to leadership, he chose to commemorate this event, not by drawing attention to his own accomplishments, but rather by celebrating the service of others.
Those exemplary Catholics recognized at the celebration last month also truly deserve our thanks and are an inspiration to the rest of us.
We are indeed fortunate to have Archbishop Vlazny as our leader in these difficult times.
